Personalized nutrition care for long lasting health

I’m Lauren Cornell: a Registered Dietitian and a lover of all things related to food! In 2012, I started my private practice to provide people with clinical nutrition care in a fun, approachable way. Proper nutrition and a healthy relationship with food are vital to feeling your absolute best. I strive to help patients replace food anxiety with the idea that good nutrition feels like a breath of fresh air – natural and necessary.

Through evidence-based and goal-oriented advice, I will help you identify the most realistic actions that help you reach your goals. Every appointment is tailored to meet each person’s unique nutritional needs and lifestyle, whether it be for those with a disease or for those who want to simply stay well.

Our Promise to Our Patients

  • Nutrition can seem like an overwhelming and confusing concept. We see it as our personal mission to change that perspective by helping you to repair your relationship with food, instill confidence in your food decisions, and allow you to celebrate food!

  • We will work with you to understand your true, underlying motivations and work through any personal resistance you may have.

  • We will empower you to become the expert of your own health by staying informed with the most up-to-date, evidence-based information so you can trust yourself in making the healthiest decisions.

  • Utilizing a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach, we will work closely and communicate regularly with other practitioners on your medical team to ensure that your nutritional needs are identified and met through your care.

  • We will set goals together so that they feel attainable and enjoyable.

My Story

Before pursuing my Master’s in Nutritional Science, I was a collegiate athlete and competitive dancer for over 10 years, and I completed my Bachelor’s degrees in Theater and Film. Although my initial education was in the arts, it was a family member’s successful battle against cancer through the help of medical nutrition therapy combined with my lifelong interest in science that inspired me to pursue a career as a Registered Dietitian. I became fascinated with the remarkable healing properties of food and nutrition, and I knew then that I wanted to help people in similar ways. And - I’ve never looked back. I absolutely love what I do. My enthusiasm for nutrition science, new research-based knowledge, and genuine love for people allows my work to be fun and enjoyable.

In hospitals, a registered dietitian is regarded as the primary expert in nutritional science and a mandatory member of the interdisciplinary medical team. I founded my practice to fill that same need outside of the hospital setting so people can access nutrition services as part of their most basic healthcare needs. Our focus on treating medical diagnoses and clinically identified symptoms allows us to work alongside the medical teams of our patients and athletes to provide thorough medical nutrition therapy using a holistic approach.

Few things bring me more joy than to see my patients reach their goals through the work we do together. I truly hope all of my patients look forward to their visits as much as I enjoy working with them!
